Creating Your Account

Before accessing the Terminal, every new user must create a free account. Registration takes under two minutes and requires only your email address and a password.

๐Ÿ”’ https://www.makaiusgroup.com/terminal/register
1
Navigate to the Registration Page
Go to makaiusgroup.com and click "MEMBER LOGIN โ†—" in the top-right corner, or navigate directly to /terminal/register.
2
Enter Your Email Address
Use a valid email address you have access to. This will be your permanent login credential and where all notifications are sent.
3
Create a Strong Password
Choose a password of at least 6 characters. You can update it at any time from Account Settings inside the dashboard.
4
Click "PROCEED TO VAULT"
Submit the form. A confirmation email will be sent to your inbox immediately. You will see a success message on screen prompting you to check your email.
Security Note

Your password is hashed and never stored in plain text. Makai Terminal uses Supabase Auth with industry-standard encryption. We do not have access to your password.

2

Email Confirmation

After registering, Makai Terminal sends a confirmation email to verify your address. This step is required before you can access the pricing page or the trading dashboard.

1
Check Your Inbox
Look for an email from noreply@makaiusgroup.com or info_terminal@makaiusgroup.com with the subject "Confirm your email address." Check your spam/junk folder if it doesn't arrive within 2 minutes.
2
Click the Confirmation Link
Open the email and click the "Confirm your email" button or link. You can open this link in any browser โ€” it does not need to be the same browser you registered in.
3
Automatic Redirect to Pricing
After clicking the link, you are automatically signed in and redirected to the Terminal pricing page where you will select your subscription plan.
Important

Confirmation links expire after 24 hours. If your link has expired, return to the registration page and sign up again with the same email address to receive a fresh link.

3

Choosing a Subscription Plan

Dashboard Overview

The Trading Dashboard is your central command center. It is organized into three primary areas, accessible from the navigation tabs at the top.

Navigation Tabs

The dashboard header contains three tabs that switch between the main functional areas of the terminal.

๐Ÿ“‹
Journal Tab
Your main workspace for logging trades. Contains the trade entry form on the left and your full trade history log on the right. This is where you will spend most of your time during trading sessions.
๐Ÿ“ˆ
Analytics Tab
Aggregated performance statistics computed from all your logged trades. Includes win rate, total P&L, trade count, and best/worst performing instruments. Refreshes automatically as you add trades.
โš™๏ธ
Settings Tab
Account management panel for updating your display name, changing your password, configuring trading preferences, and managing your billing subscription.

Header Status Bar

The top-right area of the dashboard displays your account email and subscription status. A green "ACTIVE" badge confirms your subscription is current. You can also sign out from the header at any time using the "SIGN OUT" button.

5

Logging a Trade

Every trade you take should be logged immediately after it closes (or as it opens, for real-time tracking). Consistent journaling is the foundation of edge development.

1
Go to the Journal Tab
Click the Journal tab in the dashboard header. The trade entry form appears on the left side of the screen.
2
Fill Out the Trade Form
Complete all relevant fields. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*). See the Trade Fields Reference section below for a full description of each field.
3
Click "SAVE TRADE"
The trade is saved to your personal journal. It immediately appears in the trade history list on the right side of the dashboard.
4
Review & Delete
Each entry in the trade history has a delete button (๐Ÿ—‘). Use this to remove incorrectly entered trades. Deleted trades cannot be recovered, so double-check before deleting.
Best Practice

Log every trade โ€” including losses and break-even results. The Analytics tab is only accurate when your journal is complete. Selective logging creates blind spots in your performance data.

6

Trade Fields Reference

Below is a complete reference for every field in the trade entry form. Understanding what each field captures will help you maintain a high-quality journal.

Field Type Description
Date Date The calendar date the trade was taken. Defaults to today. Change this if logging a historical trade.
Side Select Direction of the trade.
BUY (Long) SELL (Short)
Outcome Select How the trade resolved.
TP โ€” Take Profit hit SL โ€” Stop Loss hit BE โ€” Break Even
Instrument Type Select Broad category of the instrument traded (e.g., Futures, Equity, Forex, Crypto). Choose the category that matches your market.
Symbol Text The specific ticker or contract symbol (e.g., NQ, MNQ, ES, CL). Enter exactly as it appears in your broker platform.
Market Type Select Session or market condition at the time of the trade.
London New York Asian Overnight
Schedule Select The time-based protocol or session structure you followed for this trade (e.g., AM Session, PM Session, Pre-Market). Helps identify your best-performing time windows.
Strategy Text The trading setup or strategy name used (e.g., "Order Block", "Fair Value Gap", "ICT Breaker", "VWAP Reclaim"). Be consistent โ€” use the same name for the same setup every time.
P&L Number Profit or Loss in dollars for this trade. Enter as a positive number for profit (e.g., 250) or a negative number for a loss (e.g., -150). Used in all Analytics calculations.
Notes Text Area Free-form notes about the trade. Describe your reasoning, market context, what you observed, and what happened. The more detail you include, the more useful your journal becomes over time.
Psychology Text Area Your mental state before and during the trade. Were you calm, impulsive, fearful, confident? Tracking emotional patterns is one of the most powerful uses of a trading journal.
7

Analytics

The Analytics tab transforms your raw trade log into actionable performance intelligence. All metrics are calculated automatically from the trades in your journal.

Key Metrics

The following statistics are displayed at the top of the Analytics tab:

Total P&L
$2,480
Win Rate
68%
Total Trades
47
Metric How It's Calculated
Total P&L Sum of all P&L values across every trade in your journal.
Win Rate Percentage of trades with Outcome = TP (Take Profit). Calculated as: (# of winning trades รท total trades) ร— 100.
Total Trades Total number of trade entries in your journal.
Best Trade The single trade with the highest P&L value.
Worst Trade The single trade with the lowest (most negative) P&L value.
By Instrument Breakdown of your total P&L and trade count grouped by symbol, showing which instruments you perform best on.
Pro Tip โ€” Strategy Analysis

Use the Strategy field consistently to enable you to mentally filter which setups are most profitable. Over 30+ trades, patterns in your strategy performance become statistically significant and can guide session preparation decisions.

8

Account Settings

Access Account Settings by clicking the Settings tab in the dashboard header, or by clicking the gear icon (โš™๏ธ) if available in the interface. The Settings panel is divided into four sub-tabs.

Profile
Update your Display Name โ€” the name shown in your dashboard header. This does not change your login email.
1
Type your preferred display name in the input field.
2
Click "Save Display Name". A green confirmation message appears when saved.
Security

  • โœ“ Click "Update Password". A confirmation message confirms the change.
